Answering the call of God
Many people place their faith into God and may consider themselves being his follower but if you take a look at the current society, you’ll realize there are much more people that needs help to realize that they have to answer to the call of God before it’s too late. Yes, you read it right – before it’s too late. Our God is a very patient God but even though his patience is undoubtedly long, he also has his limits which are what you may consider the point of no return. Many churches like churches in Lexington KY help you in answering his calls or giving you opportunities for his calling.
The earlier paragraph is not without basis – as it is said in the Bible itself, book of Proverbs, chapter one verse twenty eight that “Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.” That by itself might give certain people a shock thinking “wow, God who is merciful will turn his ears when people cry for help?” But fret not as I assure you that this will not happen after his first calling.
When you refer to that particular proverb as a whole with its two previous verses included, it will read “I in turn will laugh at your disaster I will mock when calamity overtakes you – when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.“ Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me” which particularly mentions that if one doesn’t answer to God’s calls, he will stop extending his hand to you. But if that’s not scary enough, read the whole proverb again and you’ll realize that he will reject your answer after that point of no return.
So while there’s still time, you must wake up as there you will see these kinds of warnings in the Bible and you should not take them lightly. If you’re unsure, you can ask others to lead you to the right path by joining congregations such as the churches in Lexington KY.
So if you’ve ignored God’s calling multiple times, maybe it’s time to accept him into your life this time. “For what son is not disciplined by his father?” God is trying to reach you and get you to accept him; make a decision now, let people from churches in Lexington KY lead you.
